Generation of Conic Section → Ellipse (Autodesk Inventor 2018 Tutorial)

Serial No. 306 Generation of Conic Section → Ellipse (Autodesk Inventor 2018 Tutorial) In mathematics, a conic section (or simply conic) is a curve obtained as the intersection of the surface of a cone with a plane. The three types of conic section are the hyperbola, the parabola, and the ellipse; the circle is a special case of the ellipse, though historically it was sometimes called a fourth type.At the end of this video, we will show how to rotate a sketch of the ellipse to create an Ellipsoid by using the Revolve tool. Twist Drill (Siemens NX 11 Tutorial)

Serial No. 107. Twist Drill (Siemens NX 11 Tutorial) In this part modelling tutorial of ‘Siemens NX’, we will create a model named ‘Twist Drill ’. We will start our work by defining some Expressions that will be used to create a mathematical relation between the dimensions applied in the due course of modelling the ‘Twist Drill’.Then a circle will be extruded to form a 3D solid. Next, some planes will be created to draw new 2D sketch profiles. Then Helix curve will be created. By using the Swept tool on the basis of previous 2D sketch profiles and Helix curve our first flute will be cut over the rounded bar. Again a relevant Cut Extrude command will be applied. Then both the features will be duplicated using the Pattern feature tool at an angle of 180°. Next, we will create some more sketch profiles to cut lip and lip relief on the edge of the drill bit. The process will be the same as applied earlier. Later some more helix curve and the swept feature will be applied to complete the model. The highlight of the video is to show the usage of work planes with precision and usage of Pattern feature tool to save time.   Video:– Click the following link to get the model file: – http://bit.ly/31YcInJ   Note:- The finished file related to this tutorial is available to download as mentioned above. Computer Mouse (Solid Edge ST9 Tutorial)

Serial No. 109. In this 3D parametric solid modelling tutorial, we will create a model of computer mouse using Solid Edge, a well-known mechanical CAD application by Siemens PLM. To create this model, we have adopted top-down modelling approach. Which means all the components of the model will be designed in an assembly environment. Many ordered feature-based modelling techniques had utilised to create this model. So the viewers will be able to observe as well as learn various 2D sketching, part modelling and assembly modelling techniques of the software by watching this tutorial. Bulb Shade (Autodesk Inventor 2012 Tutorial)

Serial No. 13 In this Inventor part modelling tutorial, we learn how to create a model of ‘Bulb Shade’. To create this model we will use surface modelling functionalities of the Inventor software. So while creating this model we will observe as well as learn various surface modelling commands of the software which are mentioned below:– 1. Lofted Surface 2. Surface Extrude 3. Sculpt tool 4. Patch boundary tool 5. Thicken/offset surface 6. Trim/Extend surface ___________________________________________________________ Edition to this we will also take help of various general part modelling tools like basic 2D/3D sketching, Circular Pattern, Filet etc. Very first we will create surface features and later convert them to the solid body, in other words, what we can say, Autodesk Inventor surface to solid body techniques. Video:–     Click the following link to get the model file:- http://bit.ly/2mct8sS To learn and practise more about Surface Modelling in Autodesk Inventor please watch following videos on surface modelling by us:– Please check out some more works by us on Autodesk Inventor below– Basic tutorials on Autodesk Inventor by us:—(YouTube Playlist of more than 15 videos.) Show/Hide Component Command (Solid Edge ST9 Tutorial)

Serial No. 108 This video is a small segment of our video named ‘Vernier Caliper’ Solid Edge Tutorial that we created earlier. In this tutorial, we will demonstrate, how to use Show/Hide Component command of Solid Edge software, efficiently to control the visibility of Reference Planes of a component in the assembly. While working in an assembly when we turn on the visibility of Reference Planes of a specific component all its reference planes are visible by default. So in this case, if we want to open the visibility of some specific planes then what settings we should apply in Show/Hide Component command dialogue box. Application of Loft Feature || Autodesk Inventor|| Example-1

I      In this Autodesk Inventor tutorial, we will observe as well as learn the application of Loft Tool. This feature is used, when we want to create a solid by joining more than one closed profile. The rails and points are also used in creating the loft feature that helps in controlling the final outcome. For creating the loft feature first we will create a profile, then 8 rails. I doing so we will take the help of various 2D sketch features, user defined work planes and Mirror Tool of the software. Video:– This loft feature example is taken from our tutorial related to the modelling of Anvil where more complex loft features have been used.
